Senior Financial Analyst Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of renewable energy projects. Key responsibilities include building, maintaining, and optimizing detailed financial models for solar, hybrid, and embedded generation projects.

This involves conducting sensitivity and scenario analysis (LCOE, IRR, NPV, payback, tariff modeling) as well as applying AI-powered tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and risk assessment.

The successful candidate will have 5-8 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, project finance, investment banking, or corporate finance with a proven track record in renewable energy or related fields.

A strong understanding of project finance, capital structuring, and valuation methodologies is essential. Proficiency in AI/ML tools for financial analysis and excellent communication skills are also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and optimize detailed financial models for solar, hybrid, and embedded generation projects.
  • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis (LCOE, IRR, NPV, payback, tariff modeling).
  • Apply AI-powered tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and scenario planning.
  • Support debt and equity fundraising, including preparation of investment memos, IC papers, and lender presentations.
  • Assist in due diligence processes with lenders, investors, and advisors.
  • Deploy AI agents to streamline financial reporting and automate repetitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with the data/tech team to develop AI-driven dashboards for management and investor reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI into project valuation, market intelligence, and risk management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, project finance, investment banking, or corporate finance.
  • Proven track record in renewable energy, infrastructure, or utilities (C&I solar or hybrid projects preferred).
  • Strong understanding of project finance, capital structuring, and valuation methodologies.
  • Proficiency in AI/ML tools for financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and presentation) for investor and board-level reporting.
