Job Overview

This role involves reviewing construction drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, and compiling accurate material and labor estimates for electrical projects. Key responsibilities include reviewing electrical plans, specifications, and addenda, performing detailed electrical quantity takeoffs, using digital takeoff tools, and preparing organized takeoff sheets and data.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Review electrical plans and specifications to understand project scope.
  • Perform detailed electrical quantity takeoffs for devices, wiring, conduits, panels, switchgear, lighting, and other systems.
  • Use digital takeoff tools to measure and quantify materials.
  • Prepare organized takeoff sheets and data for the estimating team.
  • Coordinate with senior estimators to clarify scope and resolve drawing discrepancies.
  • Track and maintain project takeoff files.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Electrical Engineer or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical estimating, takeoffs, or drafting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, one-line diagrams, and panel schedules.
  • Good English communication skills (written and verbal).
