As a professional in the field of claims management, you will play a vital role in maintaining and prioritizing a portfolio of claims on a daily basis. This will ensure timely and accurate processing of these claims.

The successful candidate will join a team of professionals based in Manila who are responsible for claim analysis, defense, pursuit, advising, and settlement. They will handle claims related to North American companies, analyzing voyage events against contractual terms and ensuring that all claim activities are accurately reflected in financial and trading systems.

Your responsibilities will include calculating, preparing, and negotiating claims to minimize exposure, submitting recovery claims before deadlines, and investigating voyage events against contractual terms. You will also be responsible for ensuring timely payment of approved claims following internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and prioritize a portfolio of claims on a daily basis
  • Analyze voyage events against contractual terms
  • Calculate, prepare, and negotiate claims to minimize exposure
  • Submit recovery claims before deadlines
  • Ensure timely payment of approved claims

You will work closely with the trading desk to align objectives, share insights, and support decisions. In addition, you will be responsible for reflecting all claim activities accurately in financial and trading systems, including P&L impact.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to manage exceptions and handle deviations from processes
  • Experience in process improvement and workflow streamlining
  • Commercial awareness supporting strategic goals
  • Ability to work independently and seek guidance when necessary
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships
  • Proficiency with Endur, RADAR, eCAP, Salesforce, SAP
