  • Refactor and optimize complex SQL queries, including nested subqueries and deeply layered views.
  • Analyze and improve existing SQL code for readability and performance.
  • Diagnose issues and recommend indexing strategies using SQL Server execution plans.
  • Utilize Common Table Expressions (CTEs) and SQL window functions in query development.
  • Collaborate with data/reporting teams to convert dashboard SQL into reusable SQL Server views.
  • Ensure database code adheres to performance and scalability standards.

Key Qualifications

">
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer.
  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server 2019–2022.
  • Strong understanding of SQL window functions, CTEs, and query optimization techniques.
  • Experience refactoring deeply nested views or complex subqueries.
  • Ability to read and interpret execution plans and recommend indexing improvements.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau — specifically, understanding how to extract SQL from dashboards and turn them into SQL views.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean, readable code.
