We are seeking a driven individual to join our dynamic team in the role of Business Development Specialist. This position is crucial in propelling growth by identifying, acquiring, onboarding, and scaling new sellers and brands onto our platform.

About the Role

This position focuses on developing and executing strategies to acquire and grow seller/brand partnerships on the platform. Key responsibilities include end-to-end onboarding, portfolio growth, and data-informed decision making.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the acquisition of new sellers and brands onto the platform, utilizing various channels, industry trends, and internal category teams to drive business priorities.
  • Incubate and grow newly onboarded sellers and brands by guiding them on e-commerce fundamentals: assortment opportunities, product listing, content creation, pricing strategy, promotional tools, and marketing campaigns or brand activations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing sellers, brand partners, e-commerce enablers/agencies, distributors, and cross-functional teams across local and regional offices.
  • Develop and utilize performance analytics to monitor seller progress and make data-driven recommendations to optimize marketing efforts, product selection, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Own and drive the growth of a personal portfolio of sellers and brands, ensuring consistent revenue performance and long-term success on the platform.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred; exceptional fresh graduates will also be considered.
  • Background in high-paced industries such as e-commerce, retail, distribution, or brand marketing/sales.
  • Strong self-starter with a can-do attitude and genuine enthusiasm for e-commerce and digital innovation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and high comfort level working with numbers and data.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with brand and seller partners.
  • Confident in creating and delivering business reviews and strategy decks to senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in sales or account management is a plus.
Preferrable Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in an e-commerce environment.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of SQL is a strong plus.
