Job Title:

A Medical Reviewer

Description:
  • We are seeking a detail-oriented medical reviewer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) assigned through our portal.
  • You will review and bookmark medical records, creating a synopsis to answer medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Remotely assist medical providers during scheduled appointments by accessing, navigating, and preparing different apps on their computer, remotely interviewing veterans via video or telephone conference platform, transcribing medical history, documenting physical examination findings, completing DBQ spreadsheets, meeting with medical providers to determine final diagnosis, transferring data, submitting DBQs, and answering queries/addendum reports.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and active PHRN license.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively assist veterans, medical providers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in work schedule changes as needed.
  • Accountability for all assigned cases.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Assist lead/trainer in process improvement and creation of templates.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Computer Requirements:
  • Fiber connection with at least 20 Mbps download and upload speeds.
  • Backup internet with minimum 15 Mbps download and upload speeds.
  • Main desktop/laptop: Intel i5–i7, 8 GB RAM; 4th generation or newer.
  • Backup desktop/laptop: Intel i3–i5, 8 GB RAM; 4th generation or newer.
