Senior Compliance Manager Job Overview:
The Senior Compliance Manager oversees operational compliance, strategically plans, and leads regulatory compliance activities related to current and future state. This role involves monitoring policies and procedures, confirming mandatory training completion, and continuously monitoring laws, regulations, standards, and contractual requirements to ensure compliance. The role also actively participates in risk mitigation to ensure that potential issues are identified and plans to mitigate risk are robust.
This position works closely with the Compliance Director to guarantee adherence to government regulations, contractual commitments, ethical standards, and TaskUs policies and values.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to establish, implement, and monitor compliance programs and activities per client and TaskUs requirements and applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce policies and procedures to support operational compliance and policy management.
- Provide leadership for operational audits, review final client responses, and approve the release of documents.
- Promote a positive working relationship between clients, auditors, department stakeholders, and internal team members.
- Conduct thorough audits to meet client, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, identify potential risks or liabilities, and develop mitigation plans.
- Timely assess the implications of changing policies or practices on contractual, financial, or legal compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to effectively address non-compliance issues.
- Establish and oversee control systems to prevent or mitigate violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Produce compliance reports as necessary.
- Offer strategic input to senior leadership and management teams regarding business operations, investments, risks, and policy development when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulatory compliance or accreditation role, with at least 2 years focused on contractual compliance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership position with direct responsibility for managing staff.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, Waste, Fraud, and Abuse, FCA, PCI DSS, ISO 2700x, ISO 223001, SOC 2, SOX, and Data Protection.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across functions.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to handle private, sensitive, and confidential information appropriately.
- Solid research and interviewing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within established deadlines.
