Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a risk management lens to campaigns in various phases of design and delivery.

This is a new position with scope to shape the role as the organization expands its risk management operations.

  • Engage with campaigns to provide risk management guidance and feedback.
  • Assist with determining the appropriate path for escalation of high-risk activity, in collaboration with the Risk Manager and Executive teams.
  • Support teams in identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks for projects during planning and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review current policies and procedures to identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Operationalise and support internal governance processes that relate to managing campaign risks.
  • Assist with country risk profiles when determining feasibility of campaigns and support legal in undertaking legal risk assessments.
  • Promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability through training, education, and risk management consultative support.
Requirements
  • Experience in campaigns and risk management, ideally in an international organisation or an organisation with a global footprint; non-profit and/or communications experience is considered a plus.
  • Strong cross-cultural experience and communication skills.
  • Experience working in an asynchronous environment.
  • A strong understanding of risk management methodologies and willingness and flexibility to adapt these skills to suit the organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels and ability to effectively communicate and manage interpersonal relationships within the network and Risk team.
