DevOps Engineer Job Description

We are looking for a skilled DevOps engineer to bridge the gap between development and operations teams. As a senior engineer, you will focus on automating and streamlining software delivery and infrastructure management processes.

Your role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining robust deployment pipelines, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of applications in production environments.

You will be responsible for:

  • Applying cloud computing skills to deploy upgrades and fixes.
  • Implementing continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) processes and tools.
  • Developing scripts to automate build, software release, application deployment, and system management.
  • Collaborating with team members to improve engineering tools, systems, procedures, and data security.
  • Conducting automated system-level vulnerability security scan, hardening system and application platform.
  • Responding to incidents and resolving issues.
  • Performing root cause analysis for incidents and improving the system through updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a software-related discipline from a reputable university;
  • 5+ years of work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role;
  • Hands-on experience in building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Ansible, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in containerization and microservices including Docker, K8S, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud;
  • Good understanding of server-side scripting (Unix/shell scripting) and automation technology;
  • Experience working in an agile environment on consumer-facing software products;
  • High sense of responsibility, strong ability to analyze and eliminate faults, good at learning at work, able to withstand work stress;
  • Proven ability to work cross-team, multitask, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
