Job Title: ICT Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled ICT Support Specialist to provide expert technical assistance and problem-solving services to our customers and team members.

  • Provide comprehensive telephone and face-to-face support for desktop issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Follow established procedures to respond to requests for assistance, providing information to enable users to resolve their problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of faults with resolution and contact details.
  • Prioritize tasks efficiently, managing multiple problems simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  • Evaluate and implement hardware and software installations, upgrades, and configurations in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Deliver a professional service by maintaining open communication channels, updating stakeholders on progress, and providing realistic resolution times.
  • Foster collaboration between users and service providers, supplying diagnostic information according to procedures.
  • Escalate unresolved technical queries to Network Engineers, adhering to established protocols.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant IT support experience, complemented by tertiary qualifications in a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of desktop hardware and standard/customized software applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • The capacity to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • A customer-centric approach, prioritizing user satisfaction and needs.
  • Proficiency in the organization's Standard Operating Environment (SOE).
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
