Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Project Manager. This individual will play a critical part in providing support to our project teams, ensuring engagement success and people management.

  • This person will collaborate with leadership, operations, and resource management to provide optimized project staffing.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in managing concurrent client projects, identifying risk, escalations, and issue resolution.
  • A strong sense of collaboration with stakeholders is essential for this role.

About the Role:

The Senior Project Manager will oversee small concurrent client projects while maintaining oversight to identify risk, escalations, and issue resolution. This role plays a key part in maintaining proper delivery team utilization and maximizing revenues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with Consulting Operations to identify and assign project resources to client engagements.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders that characterize partnership, cooperation, and trust.
  3. Manage own projects where required.
  4. Oversee resource planning and coordination of project activities between client and internal/external resources needed to accomplish strategic business goals.
  5. Mentor staff in Agile methodologies and best practices in project management to enhance project delivery.
  6. Provide teams with clear understanding of responsibilities, accountabilities, and growth plan by communicating and managing work assignments, training, and performance appraisals.
  7. Ensure that bench time for Consultants is used to improve skills in line with Practice technology roadmaps.
  8. Monitor the alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives.
  9. Solicit feedback from Delivery Owners of engagements where GDC team members are aligned.
  10. Conduct interviews of prospective GDC candidates.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated client relationship skills and experience setting and managing client expectations.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively up to Executive Levels.
  • Extensive experience aligning diverse teams across multiple locations to deliver projects in alignment with project commitments.
  • A strong sense of working collaboratively with the Leadership team.
  • Deep, professional knowledge in internal stakeholder management, people management, and software project Delivery.
  • Ability to lay out sound work plans and resolve competing trade-offs.
  • Ability to manage up to 20 people and provide guidance on their career development.
  • Ability to remain composed during challenging and critical situations.
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile best practices and delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working with sales and solutioning stakeholders on staffing and timeline commitments and ensure there is alignment in expectations.
