Backend Software Developer

This role is designed to work directly with our lead developer to implement backend features and functionality. Success in this position requires delivering high-quality code that follows established conventions and patterns.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement backend services and features using Node.js and JavaScript based on provided specifications.
  • Develop well-structured, maintainable code that adheres to engineering standards.
  • Conduct thorough manual QA and testing of implemented features before submission.
  • Collaborate with the lead engineer to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding practices.
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and Node.js.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to code quality.
  • Excellent ability to follow established coding styles and conventions.
  • Proven track record of implementing features based on written requirements and specifications.
  • Experience with manual QA and testing methodologies.
  • Strong reading comprehension and the ability to ask clarifying questions.
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL or similar).
  • Self-motivated and effective in a remote-work environment.
  • Bonus: Experience with AI and LLM tools.
