Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. As a Network Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures for our clients or internal use.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the network. You will collaborate with various teams to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
Responsibilities:- Design and implement local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and cloud-based network solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to maintain optimal performance and uptime.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other networking devices to ensure proper functionality.
- Monitor network performance and identify areas for optimization or improvement.
- Implement firewalls, VPNs, and other security protocols to ensure the security and integrity of the network.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and documentation for future reference and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with system administrators, security teams, and other IT staff to ensure seamless integration and support of all technology infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or related IT roles.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience with networking protocols like TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
- Experience with network security best practices and general cyber security best practices.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and ESXi virtual environments.
- Understanding of Endpoint Security and Email Security.
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent certification.
- CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking certifications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
