System Reliability Specialist

Description of the Role

We are seeking a skilled system reliability specialist to ensure system uptime, build world-class observability, lead incident response, and drive reliability across our platform. This role is remote and high-impact.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will take ownership of monitoring, alerting, and incident management for production systems. They will design dashboards, build alerting pipelines, and use automation to reduce toil while ensuring system uptime.

The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of engineering and operations, quickly identifying issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving improvements that prevent recurrence. They are passionate about keeping systems stable, proactive in detecting anomalies, and experienced in coordinating response during critical incidents.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or IT Operations roles.

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with monitoring & logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
  • Skilled in scripting for automation (Python, TypeScript, or Bash).
  • Experience running and improving incident response processes.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and document learnings.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud environments is a plus.
