Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Master Data Management (MDM) Designer to lead our team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Master Data Management system. As a Lead MDM Designer, you will provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to oversee the successful execution of MDM initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive MDM strategy aligned with our organization's data management goals and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment for our team of MDM designers to drive excellence in data management practices.
  • Data Source Integration: Identify and integrate various data sources into the MDM system to ensure a complete and accurate representation of master data.
  • Field Identification: Spearhead efforts to identify key data fields crucial for the MDM system's effectiveness and accuracy.
  • Domain Coverage: Collaborate with data owners and subject matter experts to identify and define domains that will be part of the Master Data Management system.
  • MDM Field Definition: Ensure clear definitions and specifications for MDM fields to achieve consistency and understanding across the organization.
  • Rules Development: Oversee the establishment of data matching and merging rules to maintain data integrity and resolve duplicates within the MDM system.
  • Standards Implementation: Ensure important industry and organizational data standards are implemented within the MDM system to ensure data consistency and quality.
  • Documentation: Oversee proper documentation of the mapping and lineage of master data elements to facilitate future data-related activities and maintain transparency.
  • Project Enhancements: Participate in projects focused on enhancing the MDM structure and overall efficiency, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in Master Data Management (MDM) and data management practices.
  • Prior experience in strategic planning and aligning data initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a team of MDM designers or data management professionals.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve data management objectives.
Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in MDM tools and technologies such as Informatica MDM, IBM InfoSphere MDM, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in data modeling techniques and data architecture principles.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and data quality management.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets for decision-making.
Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
