Job Title: Data Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, with experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or consulting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing startup databases and financial metrics to uncover early-stage investment opportunities. They will also track industry trends, deal activity, and portfolio performance, support research efforts for new markets, sectors, and technologies, develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs and market developments, maintain and improve internal databases of companies, contacts, and industry benchmarks, automate routine data tasks using Excel, SQL, or lightweight scripting, assist in preparing reports, visuals, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders, and support due diligence processes with data summaries and benchmarking.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, or a related field, 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or consulting, prior experience in startups or venture capital firms is strongly preferred; a demonstrated interest is a plus, advanced Excel skills, proficiency in Python or R, SQL for querying structured datasets, familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, and ability to work U.S. business hours.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or consulting
  • Prior experience in startups or venture capital firms is strongly preferred; a demonstrated interest is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficiency in Python or R
  • SQL for querying structured datasets
  • Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
