Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Description

This role is part of the global manufacturing process development organization, working closely with product development teams to launch new products.

  • Short term: Work with MPDE/ME team in China to launch projects developed by China team as well as old product migration from China plants to PH plant.
  • Long term: Work with product design teams in China and US to launch products from PH directly together with local MPDE team.

Responsibilities include new automatic assembly machine development, ensuring product launch in plant for mass production smoothly, and meeting project related KPIs.

  • Design and develop non-standard automatic equipment, execute machine mechanism detail design and drawing, build, and execute automation design standard.
  • Handle machine or auto assembly line established by external automation suppliers.
  • Platforming manufacturing process development.
  • Challenge product design for manufacturability and cost feasibility.
  • Launch product at rate through FACA/QCPA tools.
  • Launch product on time with cross function team.
  • Process documentation (DFM, FMEAs, WI, FACA/QCPC).
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years automation design/development knowledge/experience.
  • Familiar with mechanical, pneumatic, servo component selection; understand machining principle of precision parts well.
  • Familiar with Creo or SolidWorks or AutoCAD design software.
  • Data oriented issue finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in using basic process development related tools like DFM, PFMEA, DOE, FAA, CTAR.
  • Good logical thinking, teamwork, and innovation consciousness.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
