Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting situational analyses and needs assessments to inform program design and strategy development\
  • Leading country programming exercises, including the development and implementation of country assistance programs aligned with the Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) objectives and country priorities\
  • Working closely with relevant departments and offices to design, plan, and monitor program activities, ensuring timely and effective execution\
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, donors, NGOs, and community organizations\
  • Monitoring and evaluating program performance, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement\
  • Representing the organization at national and international forums, advocating for the country program and fostering partnerships\
  • Identifying capacity-building needs and developing training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of country office staff and government key stakeholders\
  • Providing technical assistance and mentorship to country teams, ensuring the adoption of best practices and innovative approaches\

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

\
  • \
  • A Master's degree in economics, finance, engineering, or other related specialized fields\
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in program management, preferably in an international development context\
  • International experience working in several countries; experience in Central and West Asia region, and in particular, Turkiye, will be an advantage\
  • Proven experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs and initiatives\
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams\
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and foster professional relations within and across teams in diverse work environments\
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions\
  • Adaptability and resilience in the face of challenges and changing priorities\
  • Strong cultural sensitivity and ability to work in diverse environments\
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages will be an advantage\
