Job Summary:

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is seeking a highly skilled Lead Governance and Portfolio Strategist to join its Corporate Services Department. This is a key role that will provide strategic oversight and leadership in governance, portfolio management, and procurement within the department.

Our mission is to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region while sustaining efforts to eradicate extreme poverty.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of corporate services projects and lead the governance and portfolio management office, focusing on capital investment programs and rolling frameworks.
  • Manage project portfolios by allocating resources, prioritizing tasks, presenting governance and performance reports to senior management, and providing data-driven recommendations for improvement and opportunities.
  • Support the Director General in overseeing procurement activities, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, business processes, and best practices, and develop strategies to improve cost-efficiency and quality.
  • Liaise with internal partners to ensure all corporate actions comply with relevant laws, regulations, corporate governance standards, and ADB policies.
  • Develop and implement governance frameworks and policies, as well as risk management frameworks to identify and address risks.
  • Oversee the preparation and approval by the Board of Directors of the three-year rolling work program and annual budget.

Requirements:

  • Masters' degree or equivalent in business management, law, economics, or related fields.
  • At least 15 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years' experience in administrative, governance principles, and best practices, and at least 5 years of compliance review and experience working with compliance departments.
  • International experience working in several countries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position will be based on ADB's standards and comparator markets, taking into account your qualifications and experience. The estimated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000.

Additional Information:

This is a fixed-term appointment for a period of three years. If you are selected as an external candidate, the appointment may be extended for a period of up to three years per extension or not renewed. At the end of the initial period, ADB may renew a fixed-term appointment or assignment or not renew it.
