We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team.

As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for handling full-cycle bookkeeping and providing valuable insights to clients.

Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software will drive success.

About the Role:
  • Day-to-day record keeping used for management reporting and other analytical reports
  • Management of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and invoicing
  • Assist in client planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, month-end close processes, journal entries, monthly reconciliations, financial reporting, etc.
  • Act as our firm's expert on internal processes, documenting what is learned, and assisting in control development and improvements.
  • Work directly with clients to obtain documentation and tracking, meeting milestones.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional communication at all times with team members, vendors, and third parties.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Accounting/Finance/Business/Bookkeeping or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with full cycle bookkeeping.
  • Comfortable learning new systems/software.
  • Knowledge of CRA requirements and filings.
  • Experience with cloud-based bookkeeping software is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-player attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptable, able to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
  • Motivated self-starter eager to take responsibility.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ability to meet commitments and set clear objectives.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working on shift work is required.
