Financial Operations Specialist

ClearDesk seeks a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and compliance of financial records, ensuring timely and reliable financial insights for leadership.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of accounting experience, a detail-oriented approach, and proficiency in Excel. They will also possess a solid understanding of GAAP and accounting workflows, with experience working with QuickBooks or similar software.

Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, reconciling bank accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures, and supporting internal and external audits. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining well-organized and accurate financial records.

  • Prepare and record journal entries and general ledger transactions
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Help prepare financial statements and supporting documentation
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Perform variance analysis and explain key fluctuations
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Requirements
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and accurate with numbers
  • Understanding of GAAP and accounting workflows
  • Proficient in Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar software
  • Professional English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and deadlines in a remote setup
  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to improve systems
