About the Data Engineer Role

Our organization seeks a highly skilled data engineer with expertise in Azure Data Platform to lead end-to-end implementations and drive best practices in data engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience with designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and integration solutions, as well as working with data from SAP and Salesforce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain complex data solutions using Azure services, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Machine Learning.
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines and integration solutions, including working with data from SAP and Salesforce.
  • Ensure data accuracy, performance, and reliability across all stages of the ETL lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or further studies in Data Science/Analytics is an advantage.
  • 4-8 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role with a focus on the Azure Data Platform.
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • Azure Data Lake
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Azure Machine Learning
  • Azure Cognitive Services
  • Azure Cosmos DB or other NoSQL databases
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Hands-on experience integrating data from enterprise platforms such as SAP and Salesforce.
  • Relevant Azure certification: DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer Associate) or AZ-305 (Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions).
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, and cloud-based ETL development.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with DAMA data management principles is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote, geographically dispersed team.
