Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Services Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building maintenance and repair, with experience in supervising operations and managing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Assistant Director in the operation, maintenance and repair of all plumbing works, fire protection facilities and related works, carpentry works, painting works, masonry works, welding and its related works.
  • Plan, develop and carry out work programs and projects for the general improvement of the building structures and facilities.
  • Develop and recommend effective preventive maintenance work programs for all the systems and facilities under their charge.
  • Develop and recommend effective performance and cost control measures.
  • Assist in the design and selection of new and better facilities maintenance methods.
  • Prepare project's scope of work, cost estimates and bills of materials.
  • Organize work teams and supervise projects and personnel in carrying out works.
  • Carry out work performance evaluation.
  • Prepare and submit reports.
  • Prepare personnel and work schedules.
  • Ensure that policies, rules and regulations are implemented.
  • Ensure proper upkeep of work area and equipment assigned to them.
  • Ensure coordination and harmonious relations within the unit and with other units.
  • Direct, guide, train, motivate officers and staff directly supervised and evaluate their performance.
  • Perform various administrative functions, such as reviewing and approving transactions, disbursements and others.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and a Licensed Civil Engineer or Architect
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience, two (2) of which are in the supervisory position
  • Training in structural civil engineering, general building construction and maintenance work, planning and control, plumbing and sanitary works
