Financial Operations Manager for Short-Term Rentals

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to oversee the financial management of short-term rental properties. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing financial operations, including full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance across multiple platforms.

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including reconciling bank accounts, merchant accounts, and booking platform payouts.
  • Track income, occupancy taxes, fees, and commissions from various rental platforms.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and cash flow reports.
  • Coordinate with property managers or hosts regarding budget adherence and expense tracking.
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely payments to vendors.

The Financial Operations Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate records for audits and tax filings, including transient occupancy tax (TOT) or similar.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 1 year of experience in short-term rental or hospitality industry.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Excel; experience with short-term rental tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties/accounts.
