Backend Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and reliable API solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including fellow engineers, product managers, designers, and technical leaders to deliver exceptional services.

  • You develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance APIs.
  • You actively contribute to system scoping, drafting technical specifications, and conducting code reviews.
  • You establish and maintain best practices for infrastructure with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • You design and implement robust test cases for new APIs and integration capabilities.
  • You deploy changes and execute migrations while ensuring backward compatibility.
  • You mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing through code reviews and technical sessions.
  • You troubleshoot production issues across various services and infrastructure layers.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong focus on public-facing API products.
  • Deep knowledge of full-stack technologies required to build and run APIs; experience with FastAPI is desirable.
  • Expertise in RESTful API design and implementation, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Proven experience with microservices architecture and event-based technologies such as webhooks.
  • Applied AI tools and technologies in API development and integration workflows.
  • Proficient in SQL and advanced database design, with strong skills in performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and practical experience in pipeline automation.
  • Strong experience working with cloud services like AWS.
  • Familiar with agile software development methodologies.
  • Gather, analyze, and document technical requirements and translate them into actionable specifications.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
