We are seeking a seasoned Business Development expert to spearhead our efforts in targeting and acquiring institutional partners with colleges and universities in the USA and Canada. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of the education sector, close high-value deals, and lay the foundation for long-term partnerships that will support our growth initiatives.
This is a unique opportunity to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the education landscape. As a Business Development expert, you will be responsible for identifying, targeting, and securing partnerships with educational institutions, developing tailored strategies for engaging with institutional clients, and presenting our value proposition to academic decision-makers.
You will also be responsible for managing the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, negotiating terms, finalizing contracts, and ensuring a smooth handoff to the partnerships team for onboarding. In addition, you will build and maintain long-term relationships with universities, ensuring a deep understanding of their evolving needs, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful implementation of our platform within partnered institutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and target institutional partners with colleges and universities in the USA and Canada.
- Develop tailored strategies for engaging with institutional clients and presenting our value proposition.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Negotiate terms and finalize contracts.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with universities.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of closing large deals with academic institutions and building long-term strategic partnerships. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly and persuasively, and strong negotiation skills with the ability to structure win-win deals that benefit both parties.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably within the education sector or EdTech.
