Job Summary

The ideal candidate for this role will oversee and optimize all aspects of supply chain operations, including inventory management, vendor sourcing, and freight logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Strategy & Operations:
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, from sourcing materials to final delivery.
    • Manage freight, track shipments, and optimize logistics to ensure timely delivery and avoid fines.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and align procurement strategies.
  • Logistics & Inventory Management:
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing holding costs.
    • Purchase products using inventory planning software and in-house systems, following established criteria with transparent documentation.
    • Coordinate with shipping partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.
    • Monitor supply chain health, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Vendor & Partner Relations:
    • Establish, maintain, source, and negotiate strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality and timely delivery.
    • Work closely with logistics partners to resolve issues, optimize transit times, and enhance service levels.
    • Travel to trade shows and suppliers as needed to source new suppliers.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations and international standards.
    • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to address disruptions.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Liaise with management, operations, finance, and cross-functional teams to align supply chain initiatives with overall business strategy.
    • Accept additional tasks and responsibilities to meet business objectives.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Utilize and enhance supply chain and inventory management systems, and tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for efficient data analysis and reporting.
    • Identify, document, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in supply chain operations.
    • Stay educated on industry trends to share, discuss, and implement.
  • Professional Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in supply chain and logistics management, preferably within e-commerce or retail.
    • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with remote teams.
    • Strong time management and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Experience working with US-based e-commerce brands.
    • Familiarity with international shipping, customs, and regulatory requirements.
    • Ability to work directly with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives.
    • Experience in process improvement and change management within a dynamic environment.
