Key Position Details

This role is focused on collecting outstanding payments from customers while providing excellent customer service and identifying opportunities to upsell products.

Main Responsibilities
  • Outbound Calls:
    • Makes numerous outbound calls per day to collect payments, negotiate payment plans, and resolve disputes.
    • Negotiates with customers to secure same-day collections when possible.
  • Collections Strategy & Ownership:
    • Manages the accounts receivable aging pipeline, prioritizes accounts, and drives a disciplined dunning process.
    • Escalates issues appropriately and develops weekly/monthly plans to meet cash targets.
  • Customer Service & Upsell:
    • Provides friendly, solutions-oriented service and identifies simple upsells without detracting from collection goals.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Collaborates with Dispatch/Service, Install, and Accounting teams to resolve ticket discrepancies and billing errors.
  • Reporting & Compliance:
    • Generates daily/weekly dashboards and a monthly CFO summary.
    • Fulfills applicable laws and company policies.
Required Skills
  • Voice & Communication: Clear, neutral American accent and confident phone presence.
  • Collections Expertise: Strong knowledge of collections terminology and strategies.
  • HVAC/Field Service Context (nice to have): Familiarity with service tickets, work orders, POs, and warranty/recall workflows.
  • Objection Handling: Proven ability to turn objections into positive outcomes.
