Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) to inform business decisions.
  • Lodge BAS, IAS, and GST reports in accordance with ATO regulations, ensuring timely submission.
  • Support the preparation of income tax returns for businesses and individuals, providing expert guidance on tax implications.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and accounting standards (AASB, IFRS), staying up-to-date with regulatory changes.
  • Foster strong relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and external stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls, driving efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Australian accounting experience, demonstrating expertise and knowledge of local regulations.
Technical Skills
  • Detailed knowledge of Australian tax laws, BAS/GST, and ATO compliance, with ability to apply this expertise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar, with ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Outlook, and Excel) is essential.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
