Crypto Investment Professional

We are seeking a skilled Crypto Investment Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the investment team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and evaluating emerging cryptocurrencies and Web3 projects with potential for exponential returns.

Responsibilities:
  1. Early-Stage Project Identification: Identify and evaluate early-stage crypto and Web3 projects that exhibit potential for significant returns, focusing on those not yet in the mainstream spotlight.
  2. In-depth Analysis and Hypothesis Development: Conduct comprehensive analyses to form and present non-consensus hypotheses about the potential of selected projects, focusing on market demand, innovation, scalability, adoption potential, and team execution capabilities.
  3. Investment Memo Preparation: Compile detailed investment memos that articulate your hypothesis, supporting analysis, ROI projections, and risk assessment strategies in a concise and compelling format.
  4. Pitch Presentation: Develop and present persuasive pitches to the investment committee, highlighting your unique insights and defending your investment thesis against critical evaluation.
  5. Market Research: Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the crypto and blockchain landscape to inform investment decisions.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with the investment team to refine investment strategies and contribute to the firm's overall investment portfolio performance.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: 2+ years of experience in investment analysis, preferably within the crypto, blockchain, or fintech sectors.
  2. Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to conduct detailed market research, financial analysis, and project evaluation. Proficiency in using analytics tools and platforms to gather and interpret data.
  3. Knowledge of Crypto and Blockchain: Deep understanding of cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and emerging Web3 innovations. Familiarity with technical and market factors affecting project scalability and adoption.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment theses clearly and persuasively. Proficiency in creating high-quality investment memos and presentations.
  5. Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a knack for developing contrarian viewpoints and uncovering untapped investment opportunities.
  6. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in finance, blockchain, or cryptocurrency investments are a plus.
The ideal candidate would be:
  1. Self-motivated: Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and determination to get things done independently.
  2. Analytical: Strong analytical and financial analysis skills; an ability to quickly comprehend, evaluate, and critique new ideas and data. You are also comfortable with challenging viewpoints.
  3. Passionate: Passionate about the crypto-asset industry and investing. We want people who are eager and will work hard to up-skill and improve their knowledge in the crypto space.
  4. Knowledge of Crypto: Especially DAOs and Middleware.
  5. Strong communicator: Good written and oral communication skills in English.
  6. Self-organized in a remote-first work environment.
  7. Be willing to specialize in the Web 3 Vertical.
