Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

The primary objective of this role is to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive health and safety program across large-scale infrastructure projects.

About This Role
  • This position plays a critical part in ensuring the well-being and safety of engineers and project stakeholders.
  • Responsibilities will include leading emergency response procedures, conducting risk assessments, and implementing training programs.

This requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards
  3. Lead emergency response and training drills to ensure preparedness
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering projects, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure
  • At least 3 years of experience in dams and hydropower construction or maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of dam safety guidelines and environmental regulations
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • Incident root cause analysis
  • Training facilitation and public speaking
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and water resource permits
