Job Title: Tax Specialist

A dedicated and experienced tax professional is needed to manage federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.

Responsibilities:
  • Tax Preparation & Filing: Prepare and file accurate federal, state, and local tax returns using specialized software.
  • Sales Tax Filings: Manage U.S. sales tax returns across various jurisdictions.
  • Financial Record Management: Maintain clients' financial records in QuickBooks Online Accountant.
  • Bookkeeping: Perform routine bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable/receivable management, reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports.
  • Client Interaction: Respond to client inquiries related to tax filings and financial record management.
  • Compliance & Research: Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Enrolled Agent (EA) credential or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in QuickBooks Online Accountant, bookkeeping, and U.S. sales tax filings.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, local, and sales tax laws and filing requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High proficiency with tax and bookkeeping software.
