Senior Cyber Security Analyst Job Description

This is a key position within our organization's Security Operations and Incident Response team. The role involves monitoring, investigating, and responding to security incidents across multiple environments.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and respond to security events and incidents using advanced tools and processes.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of escalated security threats and provide detailed post-incident analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and legal as needed to address and resolve security incidents.
  • Stay up-to-date on threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, and security trends.
  • Evaluate and optimize existing security solutions for maximum effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement best practices in security operations.
  • Provide escalation support to security operations and manage customer support teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in computer science or related field (bachelor's preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in information security and technology, including 2+ years in security operations or incident response.
  • Vendor certifications for managing security solutions (required).
  • Strong knowledge of IT/security service management concepts and security frameworks like NIST CSF and CIS CSC.
  • Proficient with firewalls, SIEM, EDR, PAM/PIM, and network security tools.
  • Excellent analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills.
