Remote Accounting Specialist

This role involves working from home to contribute to a growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clarity in financial records.

The ideal candidate will have a detail-oriented mindset and excellent analytical skills. They should be proficient in Excel, QuickBooks, or similar software.

The remote accounting specialist will play a key part in keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes. This includes preparing and recording journal entries, reconciling bank accounts, and assisting with audits.

The right person will thrive in this role if they are self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time and tasks effectively. They should also have strong problem-solving skills and be willing to improve systems.

  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity in financial records
  • Prepare and record journal entries
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Perform variance analysis and explain key fluctuations

Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years of accounting experience (internships welcome)
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and accurate with numbers
  • Understanding of GAAP and accounting workflows
  • Proficient in Excel (XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar software
  • Professional English communication (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and deadlines in a remote setup
