Technical Architect Role

This is a part-time position for a senior architect to provide technical leadership and guide staff architects on projects ranging from 5,000 to 200,000 sq. ft.

The successful candidate will have experience in designing spaces for living, learning, and working, with strong communication, problem-solving, design, and management skills.

The role involves supervising project teams, collaborating with the project architect, and ensuring consistent, quality design across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify emerging markets and understand client needs
  • Develop space needs and conduct zoning and code reviews
  • Establish design concepts and create 3D models
  • Prepare contract documents and lead quality control
  • Assist in preparing bid packages and respond to contractor RFIs
  • Communicate contract requirements and review submittals
Requirements:
  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • Architectural Licensure (U.S. preferred; international considered with strong experience)
  • 10+ years of relevant architectural experience
  • Proven leadership in technical design and documentation
  • Proficiency in Revit; additional skills in SketchUp, Photoshop, and related software a plus
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills
Benefits:
  • Salary: $40,000 per year
  • Hours: ~20 hours per week
  • Work window: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST (flexible within this window)
