Senior Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Senior Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in finance, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

This is a project-based role with full-time hours, ideal for candidates who can commit to a 9-month engagement.

The work set-up is remote.

The Senior Financial Operations Specialist will work closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team to manage day-to-day transactional finance processes. This includes managing finance inbox and accurately processing supplier invoices, credit cards, and employee expenses in NetSuite. The successful candidate will also raise purchase orders upon request, prepare weekly payment runs for review and processing, send sales invoices, track payment status, and follow up with debtors as needed.

Additionally, the Senior Financial Operations Specialist will perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and ensure transactional integrity, support the preparation and filing of VAT returns in compliance with UK tax standards, and assist in the preparation of accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of accounting principles and month-end/year-end processes, be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and have experience with NetSuite.

• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and ensure transactional integrity
• Support the preparation and filing of VAT returns in compliance with UK tax standards
• Assist in the preparation of accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience within a finance function
• Experience in UK GAAP and IFRS is highly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and month-end/year-end processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently

Work Schedule: 6:00 am - 3:00 pm (UK time) / 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm (PH time) from the 4th month onwards. Flexible work schedule applies for the first three months.

Interview Format: Initial screening using AI Interviewer followed by Human Talent Acquisition Experts' evaluation.

Contract Duration: 9 months project-based contract.

Skills Assessment: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Certifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
