Job Title: Actuarial Specialist

As a highly skilled actuary, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continued viability of our organization. You will be responsible for performing actuarial reporting and strategic functions, working closely with other functional units to help management and local regulators make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Valuation of Liabilities: Prepare the valuation of liabilities and calculation of other items for input to the financial statement.
  • Ensure that liabilities cover all future obligations to policyholders and are calculated with compliant methods and assumptions.
  • Reporting Items: Input reports into the financial statements, coordinating with various departments to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Strategic Planning: Work extensively on forecasting to set company KPI targets, collaborating with departments and regional teams.
  • Model Setup and Runs: Set up and run models, ensuring no significant gaps and consistent assumptions.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Prepare Quarterly Statistical Reports, Annual Statements, and Notes to the Financial Statements, coordinating with auditors and local authorities.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in Mathematics, Accountancy, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Passed at least one SOA Preliminary Exam (a plus).
  • At least two years' experience in a life insurance company or similar field.
  • Possess keen attention to detail, deliver on schedule, and work well under pressure.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues outside own team structure.
