Job Title: Staff Accountant

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Prepare and record financial entries, maintain accurate ledgers and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis.
    • Perform sales analysis and generate insightful reports.
    • Oversee cash collections and ensure timely recording.
    • Conduct thorough account reconciliations and analytical reviews.
    • Collaborate with the team to implement workflow processes and manage the closing cycle.
    • Produce clear and concise workpapers and analytical documents.
    • Communicate financial data in a meaningful and understandable manner.
    • Compile journal entries, schedules, and matrices.
    • Execute journal entries and month-end close with minimal supervision.
    • Undertake ad hoc tasks and lead special projects as needed.
    • Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
    • Generate ad hoc reports and analyses.
    • Participate in department-wide initiatives.
  • Essential Qualifications:
    • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills are required.
    • Minimum 3 years of recent and relevant accounting experience.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
    • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook), as well as QuickBooks and other finance-related software.
    • Be detail-oriented, flexible and organized.
    • Able to produce results without direct supervision.
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
    • Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills.
    • Good work ethic and exceptional time management skills.
    • Ability and willingness to meet critical business deadlines.
