Financial Reporting Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial reporting principles, with experience in creating and maintaining accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders.

A key responsibility will be to ensure compliance with AU and UK tax obligations, including the preparation and submission of BAS, IAS PAYG, Corporation Tax, and VAT. The successful candidate will also be responsible for liaising with external stakeholders such as vendors, auditors, and tax authorities to meet deadlines.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. A high level of organisation and discipline is essential, as well as excellent communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including management reports, statutory reports, and vendor-facing financial summaries.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure compliance with tax obligations and reporting deadlines.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and templates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and tax compliance, particularly in AU and UK contexts.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and MS Excel.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
