Accountant Position

This role involves assisting clients in achieving their financial objectives and responding to their inquiries.

  • Utilize accounting software to retrieve reports and data, provide training to clients, and address their queries.
  • Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and Business Activity Statements for various entities based on source data provided by the client.
  • Maintain awareness of tax law changes, interpret and understand tax law, and communicate implications to clients.
  • Complete client history and trust details.
  • Prepare basic to intermediate financial statements and tax returns across all entity types.

Key skills include a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting or a similar qualification, 2+ years' experience in a similar role, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new software, preferably using Xero, MYOB, and/or QuickBooks, and APS.
  • Demonstration of energy and drive, positive attitude, interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, team player, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and develop within the profession.

This is a mid-senior level position requiring full-time employment as an Accountant/Auditor.
