Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations: reconcile accounts, process invoices, manage expenses, and handle general ledger entries.
  • Capture, code, and file supplier receipts and invoices; ensure digital documents are organized and audit-ready.
  • Process and track accounts payable and receivable; prepare payments and chase incoming funds as needed.
  • Collaborate with the director to support accurate job costing: allocate materials, labour, and overhead to relevant projects.
  • Reconcile bank statements regularly.
  • Prepare monthly reports: P&L, cash-flow statements, project summaries.
  • Assist with BAS preparation and liaise with accountants for tax matters.

Beyond core responsibilities, you will provide ad-hoc administrative support—prepare reports, compile project documents, and assist with tasks.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in bookkeeping using accounting software.
  • Proficiency with receipt-capturing tools.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping workflows: invoicing, reconciliation, tracking expenses, and job costing.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail in both financial and administrative tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team where adaptability is key.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
