Job Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing full-cycle accounting tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records and preparing journal entries. This role requires strong analytical skills to analyze financial reports and document activities through reconciliations and work papers.

Accounting Responsibilities
  • Manage bank, credit card, and payroll account reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable with utmost care
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements with supporting reconciliations in a timely manner
  • Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks with precision, including annual filings for 1099s and other miscellaneous filings as needed
Client Support Services
  • Communicate open items or anomalies to the manager and ensure they are fully resolved
  • Produce ad-hoc reports for clients and/or management upon request with exceptional attention to detail
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with QuickBooks and related software tools is essential
