Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Night Nurse to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being, and supporting them in maintaining their independence.

As a Night Nurse, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care, ensuring that the needs of each resident are met in a timely and responsive manner. You will be expected to take charge of the night shift, leading a team of carers and making decisions regarding the care of our residents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing hands-on nursing care to residents, including administering medication, performing wound care, and assisting with personal care tasks.
  • Leading a team of carers and coordinating the delivery of care during the night shift.
  • Monitoring the health and well-being of residents, identifying potential issues, and taking action to prevent complications.
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Be a qualified Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Have post-registration experience in a nursing role, preferably in a care home setting.
  • Hold current certification in areas such as medication administration, catheterization, and end-of-life care.
  • Possess a clear understanding of regulatory frameworks and relevant policies.
