Job Title: Senior GL Accountant

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior GL Accountant to join our US Accounting team. This is a full-time position that will be based remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform month-end close, reconciliation and reporting procedures
  • Review and prepare monthly close packages for foreign subsidiaries
  • Prepare monthly Cost Plus JEs, funding, and cash projections
  • Execute day-to-day accounting processes and procedures relating to fixed assets, prepaids, payroll, and certain accruals
  • Enter monthly journal entries
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations and account analysis for designated balance sheet accounts and certain operating accounts
  • Review daily bank activities and prepare JEs for bank reconciliations
  • Assist on quarterly reviews and year-end audit procedures with external auditors
  • Support SOX controls and facilitate PBCs for external and internal auditors
  • Prepare monthly BS & P/L Fluxes
  • Provide technical accounting support as needed
  • Perform additional tasks as requested
  • Collaborate with other departments to determine the monthly accruals and other monthly journal entries, especially relating to closing activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years of General Ledger experience
  • Strong understanding of international accounting, intercompany reconciliation, and foreign exchange required
  • Strong understanding of accounting operations and close procedures
  • NetSuite experience highly desirable
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized in work
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel a plus (v-lookups, pivot tables)
  • Professional attitude, attention to detail, can successfully work cross-collaboratively
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multi-tasking capabilities, ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment is critical
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines and deliverables with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work well with a variety of employee levels and functions
  • Public accounting experience desirable
  • Able to work US time or night shift schedule
