Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team in a critical dual role supporting higher-level initiatives and core accounting processes.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong accounting expertise and business acumen, thriving in a fast-paced environment and taking full ownership of their responsibilities with a mindset of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end close process, creating journal entries, accruals, and adjustments while ensuring timely and accurate posting.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts and provide insights on significant variance.
  • Prepare internal financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and support management with variance analysis and commentary on financial trends and results.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts in FloQast and ensure resolution of discrepancies, maintaining the integrity of financial data.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of required tax forms, including sales and use tax, business licenses, and annual reports.
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external audits and ensure compliance with company policies, U.S. GAAP, and other relevant regulations.
  • Identify and lead initiatives to streamline and automate accounting processes and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve workflows and reporting capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA certification or active progress toward CPA is a plus.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in both public accounting and corporate accounting environments.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial controls.
  • Experience in a multi-client environment and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks).
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments.
