Job Title: Carton Packaging Estimator

This position requires a highly detail-oriented and experienced individual with strong analytical skills to accurately estimate costs for folding carton packaging projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for carton packaging projects.
  • Analyze packaging specifications, customer drawings, and production capabilities to optimize job scope and manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales, production, and design teams to determine project details and manufacturing needs.
  • Utilize historical data and supplier pricing to prepare quotes that meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain and update pricing databases and Excel-based estimate sheets to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support customer inquiries with technical and cost-related input to build trust and confidence.
  • Monitor job costing performance to refine future estimations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommend cost-saving alternatives in materials or production processes when applicable to enhance profitability.
Requirements:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in estimating folding carton packaging projects with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Working knowledge of printing processes including offset printing and color matching.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders.
