Job Title: Packaging Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team as a Packaging Estimator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating folding carton jobs, coupled with knowledge of printing processes and packaging material specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for folding carton packaging projects by analyzing packaging specifications, customer drawings, and production capabilities.
  • Collaborate with sales, production, and design teams to determine job scope and manufacturing requirements.
  • Utilize historical cost data and supplier pricing to prepare quotes and maintain updated pricing databases and Excel-based estimate sheets.
  • Support customer inquiries with technical and cost-related input, and monitor job costing performance to refine future estimations.
  • Recommend cost-saving alternatives in materials or production processes when applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in estimating folding carton packaging projects is required.
  • Working knowledge of printing processes (offset printing, color matching, etc.) is also necessary.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools) is mandatory.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
