Software companies are seeking skilled professionals to fill a variety of testing roles. One such opportunity exists for an automated test engineer.

Avaloq is a leading provider of wealth management technology and services, but that's not relevant to this job posting.

This position involves creating and maintaining automated tests for software applications, APIs, and web interfaces. Test cases will be developed based on use case documents, and the engineer will be responsible for performing business as usual operations, such as reporting bugs and problems discovered by automated tests.

Career progression in this role will lead to ownership of the automated testing framework and subject matter expertise on banking modules. To excel in this position, you'll need at least 5 years of software testing experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Test plan and test case development and execution
  • Functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
  • Object-oriented programming and relational database skills
  • Knowledge of Oracle database administration is preferred

Additionally, you should have excellent analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving. You should also be interested in gaining in-depth knowledge of banking and financial systems.
