• Creating test strategies, test plans, and test scripts for both automated and manual testing.
• Developing scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks.
• Implementing repeatable automated tests during sprints to ensure quality, reduce test execution time, and incorporate automated tests into CI/CD processes.
• Planning the budget and labor needs for each sprint and product release.
• Working within a dedicated squad team to drive product quality.
• Ensuring all testing deliverables are completed within the specified timelines for sprints and releases.
• Creating and communicating test reports to stakeholders such as the principal engineer, product owner, scrum master, and release management.
• Liaising with business users, analysts, and engineers to resolve defects.
• Staying informed of external testing trends to improve Smartgroup testing processes and assets.
• Promoting productivity through test automation tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Coaching and training team members on manual and automated testing.
• Adapting to Smartgroup's new ways of working, seeking continuous improvement, and participating in squad events.
• Managing risks, issues, and escalations as needed.

• Minimum 5 years of software testing experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in manual and automated testing, including planning, test case design, reporting, defect tracking, estimation, and coverage.
• At least 3 years of automation testing experience.
• Experience with testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Java, Maven, and Postman.
• Skills in REST and SOAP web services and API testing.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines and parallel test execution.
• Experience testing web, mobile, and Windows applications.
• Ability to work across multiple products, platforms, and squads.
• Regular use of defect and test management systems like JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Experience collaborating with external parties and vendors.
• Capability to understand business processes and systems in depth.
