Job Title: Tax Specialist


Overview of the Role

This position involves supporting our tax team by accurately entering tax data and preparing individual and business tax returns. The role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure compliance with tax regulations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Screen and review client-provided tax documents for completeness and accuracy before preparation.
  • Enter and review tax data into preparation software with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and support the filing of federal and state tax returns, including Schedule C and Schedule E.
  • Organize and verify supporting documentation for client returns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive tax and financial information.
  • Meet established deadlines and collaborate with the team to ensure timely delivery of returns.
  • Respond to client or internal inquiries regarding tax information as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Effectively uses Lacerte, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy in screening and data entry.
  • Maintains integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive financial data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations and company policies.
  • Clear and coherent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • At least one year of tax preparation experience; Must have a stable employment history.
